I had an interest in knowing what computers was and what they were meant for since 1994
1994
During my primary school hästhovsskolan in Sweden when internet was newly launched in schools library, i booked a time to use the computers over there and when my time came someone said to me that internet was cut and i had to come a different time to use it and i did not know what that meant cause after refreshing the browser a blank screen appeared, they were Apple Macintosh computers, thats were i was obbsessed to know how they worked and immediately wanted one at home, but they were expensive!
From here our neibourhood started competing with what we could learn on computers, some kids went with programming, other kids went with networking other kids went with hardware and software as a hobby and it was very fun challenging them there in Sweden it played a great role for me.
1994
After seeing that macintosh computer in school i immediately went home to my dad and asked him to buy me a computer, it was very old one from compaq and IBM.the operating system was OS/2 i believe it was. And the screen was black and white (looked similar to the picture)
I remember that i tried every single application that was installed in it. Also tried to open it to see its hardware parts
1995
My interest in computers grew more when Windows 95 PC's were delivered to my middle school in 1995 called Emaus skolan in Sweden. I immediately brought my own floppy disks at home to the library to see if they would work on that PC's and started to have a chat with the people who assembled the PC's infront of me
From here i started researching about who made windows 95 and cmparing it with Apple computers to see which was more successful and stuff. Became interested in Bill gates too.
1996
Coffe shops around Kuwait used to offer a service to use computers in internet coffe shops around the country which was not available in sweden at that time. Because only schools had computers in the library. so i had a chance to use them to browse online during dial up times
1997
were we got our first windows 95 computer with internet explorer at home. It was also used and I started learning on it even more were i started changing hardware devices such as CD player, floppy disks and PCI slot devices and network stuff on it as well as installing drivers and learnt how installing fresh OS's from windows 95 till windows xp!, worked on it by seeing how the african man who used to come to our home from time to time to reinstall windows or install programs on the computer, learnt from him alot!.
1998
Got my first laptop as a gift from my sisters husband!. and that made me very happy as a kid. It was used and it had no USB on it at all!. It was an old model with windows 95 pre installed, we changed its windows to windows 98 together and it worked well afterwards, connected it to the internet via DSL and downloaded apps such as office 97 and emulators and learnt what each application office had to offer from scratch!. it took a month or so as i remember. That computer changed my life forever!. -Thanks to sisters husband!
2006
Onward I took my first 1 year and 2 month course in new horizons institute which was about windows servers, networking and many other things including programming and took my first local and international certifications such as MSCE, ICDL also learnt how AutoCad works and started to try to learn as much information i could get in computing and computers.
2014
Onward was were i got my college degree in computer and Information systems and university degree in management and infomation systems were i learnt much more in this amazing field.
From cloud to on premisis data centers and had the chance to visit "K Computer" data center (in the pic above), which was the fastest computer in the world in 2011. Visited it 2 months before its decommission in august 2019, while i was working in Kuwait airways data center and then moved to Ministry of electricity and water data center in 2024.
